What are the national requirements for the entry of feed imports?
In recent years, the import market for pet food and feed products has been increasing year by year. Currently, our country's supervision of feed products is also further improving. I have compiled the following import policies and customs clearance procedures for feed products, hoping to help you.
National regulations on feed import:
Firstly, it is stipulated that overseas enterprises applying for the import registration certificate of feed and feed additives should entrust their permanent representative office in China or other agents within China to handle it.
The second is to stipulate the materials that foreign enterprises should submit when applying for the import registration certificate of feed and feed additives, including the registration application form for imported feed and feed additives, the qualification certificate of the agency, the certificate of approval for production and use in the production location, and the registration materials of other countries and regions outside the production location.
Thirdly, it is stipulated that if overseas enterprises export feed and feed additives that have been approved for production and use in China but have not yet been approved for use within China, or export feed and feed additives that have significant differences in production processes from those approved for production and use within China, the Ministry of Agriculture shall organize evaluations in accordance with the evaluation procedures for new feed and feed additives, And make a decision on whether to issue import registration certificates for feed and feed additives based on the evaluation results. For the first export to China of other feed and feed additives that have been used within the territory of China and have been approved for production and use by the exporting country, the Ministry of Agriculture shall review the application materials and conduct re examination and testing of the samples, and make a decision on whether to issue an import registration certificate for feed and feed additives upon receiving the quality re examination and testing report.
Fourthly, it is stipulated that if there are changes in the production site, product standards, production processes, and scope of application of imported feed and feed additives during the validity period of the import registration certificate, a new application for registration shall be made, and the original import registration certificate shall be cancelled.
Fifthly, it is stipulated that feed and feed additives that have obtained import registration certificates shall be sold within China by sales agencies established by foreign enterprises in accordance with the law or authorized qualified sales agents within China. Overseas enterprises are not allowed to directly sell imported feed and feed additives within China; And clarify the conditions that overseas enterprises' domestic sales institutions or entrusted sales agents should meet.
So what are the specific customs clearance procedures and processes for global feed products, including feed additives and mixed feed additives, in various parts of the country?
Generally, formal imports also need to consider the following issues:
1. The shipper prepares the goods
The standard packaging for the feed category is cardboard boxes, with one box of six cans and one can weighing 900 grams net. There are two types of cans available: paper cans and iron cans. Wrap the adhesive film well. If the whole container of feed category is shipped by sea, there is no need to use pallets, which can maximize the loading of multiple feed categories. If it is an air freight feed category or a sea freight bulk feed category, pallets must be used. And prepare the packing list, certificate of origin, hygiene certificate, and other customs declaration documents required for the export declaration of feed products.
2. Overseas on-site warehouse pickup: Verify the quantity and quantity of feed categories in person, and carry out inspection, counting, photography, and supervision of loading.
